At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

Whether it was minutes, hours, or days the ess could not tell. Her waist line down was only partially clean from the lapping waves but otherwise she was the color of dull steel. Her eyes fluttered open to see the beach extending away from her and the tree line getting ever farther away. She internally cried out but no sound would leave her maw. Her tongue was swollen and her breathing becoming more and more ragged. The sun hung high in the sky, it rays sending for heat waves that would help the waves continue to drown her. The ess didn’t want to die but maybe this was nature’s revenge for not killing her the first time. Weak muscles pulled and stretched beneath her fur as she attempted one last effort to pull herself forward, but the waves took their last claim to her life as the pounding paw steps roared in her eardrums.

A strong but gentle jaw closed around Sebring’s scruff and she was drug across the shore and away from the deadly waves. She couldn’t see her savior but she was too delirious to try. “M-m-mother..?” Sebring’s delirious nature and put her back into the past, she was a pup again. Her mother still alive, and her father happily trotting by her mum’s side. Though she was weak, a faint smile drifted across the sleep-deprived maidens features. Her black nose inhaled deeply but instead of finding a comforting scent she smelled the smokey ash that had ripped her life apart so many years ago. Sebring started to shake violently as she fell back into the fiery abyss.

Small cries echoed in the cavernous den that was now a flaming inferno and larger booming voices screamed in, but they barely reached the ashen audits, dulled and almost erased by the clogging smoke. The pups father yelled and held the frightened mother from the den but the mistress knew she couldn’t leave her pup in there no matter the cost. The brutes death grip released as soon as the fae bit into his leg as he howled in pain. He didn’t want the fire pup, she was the reason for all his troubles! But his mate already disappeared into the smoke. What seemed like hours passed before an ashen figure dropped out of the smoke, but Felicity his mate did not follow… The Seer had foreseen this event but nothing could stop the rage that the brute felt, even if the pup was his. Without a glance behind him, he picked up her siblings and disappeared into the forest. Never to return. She wouldn’t survive on her own, and he wanted her to suffer. He wanted the ashen fealing to suffer the same loss he had.

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.

OOC: Okay, not as good as I would have liked… hope it’s enough to go off of!
