Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

It was hard making friends in a pack with mostly older wolves. No matter how hard he searched, he couldn't find any pups his own age so he had to either harass older wolves or play by himself. He thought having an imaginary friend was stupid so instead he named the sea creatures he came across on a regular basis. He swore there was one seagull in particular he liked to call Charlie who would fly down to torment him on a daily basis. The bird liked to peck at his tail as if it were a giant eel it could eat and no matter how many times Triton ran it off barking, it would always circle right back around and come at him again. After a while, he learned that if he dug up a crab, the bird would snatch it up and fly off to leave him alone, at least for a little while. It was a fun game while it lasted though so he started dragging it out for lack of anything better to do.

He liked to hang out with the jellyfish that washed up on shore too. He would lay there next to them and talk to them until the tide came in and washed them back out to sea. He didn't know they would die if they sat there in the sun too long. He thought they were just floating onto the shore because they were lonely and wanted some company, just like he did. He never named them because it was always a different size, shape, or color when he ran across them. Today he had found a tiny purple/blue colored jellyfish that had washed up on the rocks so he stretched out on a stone next to it and started a conversation. "So how's it going? Do you get tired of being in the water all the time? Doesn't it get boring, just floating around in the water? What do you do for fun? Do you play hide and seek or anything with the other jellyfish? What's your name?" They never answer but it's still a way to pass the time.
