Blood in the water

The bay arab was regretting having snapped at Remi, she knew the younger mare was only trying to help. She sighed, shaking her head, she couldn’t even try to go looking for Remi to apologies because she couldn’t see. She was in a constant state of pissed off and wallowing in how worthless she felt, her anger wasn’t with anyone in particular but more at herself and her situation, actually scratch that her anger was very much on her no good, back stabbing sister who was the reason she was now blind!

She often wonder if the younger mare should have left her as lion food rather than save her, at the memory her shoulder decided to remind her it wasn’t fully healed. The claw mark were no longer open wounds, the salt water from the swim was probably the only reason it also hadn’t gotten infected, but it still left her with a limp.

Her eyesight had improved the smallest amount, she could now see shadows and light but that was pretty much it. She’d heard others say if you lost one sense, the others became better, yer those people were wrong! She had tried to locate different sounds around her to even come up with a rough direction with Remi’s help, she had failed and lost her temper more times than she could count.

Tilting her head she tried to use those shadows and lights to work out what was around her, taking a few steps forward, attempting to avoid anything that looked like a shadow it was only a few steps before her head hit a tree, an extremely common occurrence for her. She growled under her breath before sidestepping, only for her claw marked shoulder to hit something hard. Sucking in a sharp breath she immediately took a limping step back the other way, whimpering quietly until the pain receded.

Pressing her forehead into the tree in front of her she forced back the tears that wanted to fall. Her ears flicked back when she heard noise from somewhere she still couldn’t tell unless you wish to be snapped at I’d leave me allow right now she said, trying to keep the emotion from her voice.
