He would be discouraged, perhaps, to find out the rift between Tristan and Viora, but he might understand it if he were told about it. He'd want both sides of the story, because he did not want to judge lopsided without knowing. It might not make a difference to him at all, in all honesty. Viora might not give him a chance anyway, so there was always that to keep in mind. He knows that no matter the tale, he would still want to stick by Tristan, because he knows that his brother was going to be there for him.
That made the most sense to him. Didn't mean he might be unhappy with the story on Tristan's side, because that was also possible. But he wasn't going to turn away from family because of it. If there was turning away to be done, then the others had to do it, not Solitaire. He wanted to hold on with all he had. He couldn't just give up on them; everyone made mistakes. He had made them, and he didn't like the thought of them, but they were still there.
For now he decides to focus on the hunt at hand. He wasn't sure quite how these things were going to react, so he needed his head in the game. Solitaire moves to try and keep himself hidden from the view of the seals, going around a little to be at a decent spot from where Tristan was. When Tristan charges in, Solitaire watches and makes his move to come from behind the seal, Tristan having herded it close enough for him to spring at it and try to bite down as well as claw into whatever part of the seal he could reach. He isn't sure that all of this will work, but he tries anyway.
