Riot just liked gathering information. About anything, everything. He was a little disgruntled by the way some things had gone on of late, but there wasn't much he could do about it. Just pick himself up and dust himself off and continue on. That was how it had to go. Survive, keep going, don't allow morals to be warped or skewed by others or the prospect of a home and rank. It was dragging him down, honestly. He knew where the arrows pointed to and what he would miss, but maybe he had options that could be better elsewhere. He couldn't be sure, but he couldn't let himself stay upset about things, either. He might have had his heart set on a certain home, but his gut told him that might be a bad idea.

Sometimes he hated his instincts. Still, they told him to hunt, to take down a hare he'd seen skittering across the snow, and doing so kept his belly filled enough to last him a few more days. He pressed on, weaving through the treeline with his thoughts on distant things. He had too many thoughts and ideas for his own good it seemed, and now he was paying for that fact. He sighed, barely hearing that he made the sound at all while he moved along. He was so far off in his own little world that he didn't notice he was getting closer to someone else until he was some feet from them and blinking out of the daze he had fallen into. Well, that could have been a disaster if he'd accidentally bumped into the female.

Riot did not like to come off as rude, so he paused, ducking his head in an apologetic manner at the female. "I apologize, I wasn't paying attention. Too many thoughts, today." He said quietly, giving her a light smile in hopes he didn't bother her by passing so close by. She looked bored, and Riot wondered if perhaps a conversation was in order. It could take his mind off of things as well, so there was that for an idea.
