At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

dance for me; dance for you

The fair sun filtered through the trees and formed shadows, as well as beams of the warmth to dance across wolves in slumber. Bird’s melodies followed the wind and created the land of life and of sounds. Thin layers of clouds skimmed the sky looking for a way to ruin someone’s day but there was nothing it could do; all wolves and creatures alike were enjoying basking in its glory. One wolf in particular was enjoying it; a wolf called Leila. Leila was sprawled out of a boulder that was warm to touch; a genuine smile lay rested upon her kissers. It was good. Life was good; you just had to appreciate the smaller things in life. She was not planning to do anything other than this until it got dark or cold but when an intruding rustle of the leaves produced itself she could not help but yearn for company. Leila had hoped it had been a female but the fragrance of the male was too unmistakeable.

Her black (with what appeared to be silver streaks in the sunlight.) head turned to see the male enter the water, he appeared to be grooming himself and Leila knew better than to intrude in the privacy of grooming. She turned her head back once again; the dark phantom grew tired of lying on the boulder but her spirits lifted once again when the brute she had been watching called out to her.

Leila twisted her body so that she was lying upright but to her embarrassment the dark phantom almost toppled off. She smiled and nodded, lifting herself off from the boulder. She was not sure if it was an invitation to converse but she had to try. Leila, before intruding in his affairs bent over and stretched, her toes rippling in pleasure. Ah -- that was it. The dark phantom made her way slowly over to the male; making an effort to sway her hips as she walked – though it was not too big of a stretch as she walked like this most of the time. “Yes, I was rather enjoying it.” She commented and smiled; tilting her head to the right.

“So, what is a handsome brute like yourself doing alone?” She asked, sitting down perhaps a little bit too close. Leila enjoyed the way the water caressed her pelt and soothed any rashes or cuts she may had received. Realising how close she was, the spectre shifted back so that she was a respectable distance. A flick of her tail sent water to alter around her. “I’m Leila by the way.” She informed him, her fiery orange optics narrowing from the sun.

She took time to inspect him; his coat was black, white and grey but it was his eyes that captured her attention. They were so light – unlike hers which were the fiery pits of doom. Leila smiled and tilted her head once again; a habit she had possessed for many years. Were they white or blue? She could not tell. Sighing softly, she lifted her head to meet the gentle breeze that ruffled the white streak of her stomach. Indeed; today was a very good day.
