Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

There was a discouraging vibe about Tristan with the mention of Viora, and because he gets the look, understands what it could mean; Solitaire doesn't ask or say more about their sister. Everything just tells him that maybe she's lost to them, and Solitaire doesn't want to think about things that will hurt. He feels almost sure that asking about the others won't feel good in one way or another. He won't risk it, not now, not today. Today was good because he had found Tristan, and he wanted to keep it that way. Didn't want anything else to ruin it.

Which was why he used the rabbit thing as a relief factor, and it had worked perfectly in that way. Ice cracked, and Solitaire felt warmer on the inside than he had in a very long time. Perhaps he should feel concerned at how safe he felt around Tristan, but he didn't let himself worry about it now. This was his brother, and Tristan was glad to see him. Glad to know Solitaire was staying. That was enough for now. It would keep Solitaire going, keep him willing to fight for his place with his family. Even if Tristan was all he had left, really.

And to the beach they went, Solitaire trailing at Tristan's hip after agreeing to a hunt. A meal would be good, and there wasn't anything left of the bloated rabbit to eat; it would be too far gone, he was sure. Not much to a rabbit to begin with, anyhow. Solitaire's ears perked up when Tristan started to speak, and he listened to what was being said. Slippery things that were fast in the water. Big ones with goring tusks. Not something he wanted to meet, but he was game at trying for one of the non-tusked little ones, sure.

He peered ahead, eyeing the creatures on the sand. Solitaire wasn't really the type to hunt on this kind of terrain, but he'd also never really tried it, either. Could be fun and prove a good idea. He'd go along with it; he was sure Tristan knew what he was talking about. Solitaire followed the lead, crouching down to stay somewhat hidden to hear what his brother was now whispering to him. The target was the smaller one a little ways from the rest. Solitaire grins back at his brother's taunt and shrugs. "I'm game for it." He responded, getting ready for the task to come.
