Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The longer he was back in these lands, the more he thought back on the better days. Days when his mother and father were still alive and he and Samia roamed everywhere together. The days when he was making friends and practicing to one day become a warrior for his pack. He vowed that he would protect Samia and his family always. But he broke that vow because he wasn't around like he should have been when Fenrir and Natu breathed their last. He didn't get to say goodbye to his own parents. He should have made himself available. He should have found a way to come to them, to sense that something wasn't right.

But Thor had promised himself that he wouldn't keep going back on all the what-if's. Instead he would focus on the now and be a better brother to Samia and a better pack wolf to Eden. They deserved better. Another memory kept haunting him though and this one, he had to investigate. He recalled with almost perfect clarity a certain den in Glorall he had run across while exploring. A young female pup was protecting the den because she had collected some rocks and other artifacts and had leaped to their rescue when she thought he might be coming to steal something. That was furthest from Thor's mind however of which he had assured her until she believed him and then they had went off to hunt crabs together.

Inanna, the girl named after a goddess, hadn't slipped too far from his mind since. He'd just been too shy and caught up in his own drama to seek her out. But things were looking up now and if he was going to be there for Samia, he could still find time to see how Inanna is doing too. He was named after a god, after all.

He managed to find the den again after a little searching but it looked a little abandoned, like someone hadn't used it in a while. He sniffed around but couldn't come up with a fresh scent. Snorting in frustration, Thor set out in a wide circle around the outside of the den, making sure to kick rocks and make as much noise as possible. How else was he going to get her attention if she still hung around?

"YOO, HOO, ALMIGHTY CRAB HUNTER. YOU AROUND?"
