At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

There are times where Leila sat and interrogated herself along with her belonging and purpose to the world. For many moons she had listened to the gentle worries of males as she deceived them… for fun. And sometimes when she sat, Leila would ask herself why she even did this? As a pup she was raised in a structured manner, friends were not necessary. She did not have many nurturing, the girl was brought up in a strong way and no one even thought to question it. It was even normal for herself. She was never neglected; she always had a full stomach and siblings to chatter to but never love. Her mother never sang lullabies, but intrusted how and when instead. It was hard but she had to sleep. She had to or she would get a lesson – not that Leila ever got the lesson, she was the good one. No one loved her though and when she sits she recalls the days in the pack lands. Leila had come to the conclusion that she did this for the feeling of being wanted and appreciated – and then she would disappoint as she had been as a small, feeble puppy…

Her head shook in a harsh and deliberate action as she attempted to erase that thought off her mind. Leila sighed and treaded towards the most obvious place; Romance River but she was not heading towards that area. She was not looking for company at this moment although even if she had met a brute she would not have attempted to trick him. She had not deceived males in a long time; flirted of course but perhaps she had begun maturing. Her body had grown taller since she was a teen although she was positive that it would stay this size – and of course her personality was blossoming. Leila smiled; it was nice not having to deceive anyone. It was nice just to remain the bubbly, flirty, chatty girl she had once been before facing reality. The vixen shot a look at all the couple and scoffed; what a waste of time, she thought, to remain with one wolf all your life: madness! She smirked and began to move quicker, heading towards a place describe as beautiful; Staircase Falls. She did not have long to go for it was hosted on the same river as the one she was following so intently.

Her pace slowed as she raised her muzzle, light beams filtered through the trees and danced upon the rocks and the water. The young girl smiled, it was rather ‘nice’ here as she would have put it. Although an older, mature Leila would have described it as stunning, peaceful and beautiful. Leila raised her head so that the beams of light rested upon her face; but that was not enough – she wanted to bask entirely in the sunlight. Her black fur glistened in the beams as she carefully deciphered the best residence to rest. The dark haired wolf’s eyes rested upon a large boulder and better yet, it was clear of trees; and sunlight was plentiful. Leila placed her black paw upon the slit of a boulder and she began to raise herself. Her body rested in a ball and she muttered grumbles of contentment. A white streak lay fluffy and proud on her stomach.

The mademoiselle was content for now though it would not be for long. Leila preferred to be active in something but mostly games of some sort. Her eyes shot around to check up on the wolves around her… No one seemed abnormal. It was fine, for now. The weather was warm, the river was gentle and the wolves around her friendly – what more could she possibly ask for?
